Post-doc position in development of cracking computational models in high entropy alloys

Context

In the frame of a collaborative project between three universities (Ulg, UCL and ULB), the main objective of the offered Post-Doc position will be to develop a numerical modeling framework for cracking in high entropy alloys, known for their high toughness properties.

Post-Doc opportunity

The project will be advised by Prof. L. Noels from ULg (http://www.ltas-cm3.ulg.ac.be), in close collaboration with ULB modelling efforts on microscale plasticity, and in collaboration with experimental efforts led by UCL. The starting date is flexible with a starting date possible as soon as July 1st.

Profile

The candidate should have a PhD degree or equivalent in computational mechanics, with solid knowledge in the development and implementation of numerical methods. Good programming skills (c++, Python etc) are required. Researchers having only an experience in the use of Software will not be considered.
