Ph.D. and Postdoc positions opening in mechanics of advanced materials and structures

Ph.D. and Postdoc positions are available in the Department of School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering (First Class Academic Discipline) at Central South University in Dr. Li research group. Dr. Li’s research focuses on the theoretical, experimental, and computational studies on the mechanics of advanced materials and structures. The candidates are required to have expertise in one of the following areas:

1.  Impact mechanics;

2.  Mechanics of thin membrane;

3.  Mechanics of lithium-ion battery and its crashworthiness design;

4.  Architected materials and mechanical metamaterials;

5.  Mechanics of soft materials;

6.  Instability and buckling;

7.  Composite materials.
