Finite element analysis techniques have been studied for several decades by scientists. In the last two decades, it has been widely applied as a design verification and  validation tool in the indus try across different verticals.

 

A variety of problems of the industry including the stress analy sis, dynamic analysis, thermal analysis, flow analysis, fatigue analysis, crash analysis, shock analysis, electro-magnetic analy sis are  analysed using FEM techniques.   Linear static analysis has been very commonly taught and used.  However, a signifi cant majority of the complex industrial problems have to be treated as non-linear and time dependent to get reasonable solu tions.  The course introduces to a practicing FEM analysts, the nuances of non-linear dynamic analysis.  Course will cover theory with case studies.  Participants will be given a set of tutorials which they can try at their leisure using FEM tools of their choice.

> Geometric Non-linearity

> Optimization Techniques

 

Case Studies which depict the translation of physical reality to simulation environment using proper boundary conditions and loading will be presented.

 

Highly experienced speakers will share their wisdom in the unique interactive workshop

 

Who Should Attend:

 

Course can be attended by FEM analysts and designers from In­dustry,  scientists from R&D labs, faculty of engineering colleges, PG /UG students of engineering collegesIt is expected that the participants will have prior basic knowledge of FEM analysis using any of the FEM tools.
