Hello,

My question is about using second order elements in a 3D problem. Imagine that we are appling bending moment on a beam. If we only use 1element in the thickness, I dont understand why:

1) in reduced integration element (C3D20R) we still have hourglassing

2) in full integration element (C3D20) we still have shear locking.

Hi everybody,

I am trying to run a UVMAT subroutine in abaqus 6.13.2

I installed Intel fortran composer XE (2011.1.127) and Visual Studio 2008. I changed the passes for abaqus command and abaqus cae.

At the end when I want to verify my installation, the verification for Abaqus/Standard with using subroutine passes, but for Abaqus/Explicit with using subroutine gives me an error. This is a runtime error (R6034) and it is about the microsoft visual c++ runtime library.

Do you have any idea about this error?
