DISCUSS THE SAFETY ASSOCIATED WITH THE FIRE TRIANGLE
Fire triangle is composed of three components represented by the three sides of a triangle necessary to ignite a fire. These three components are heat, fuel and oxygen. The knowledge of the fire triangle is of great importance in the oil and gas industry. Safety, which is the relative freedom from hazard, in the oil and gas territory could be discussed with regard to the fire triangle. For fire to set in, all three component of the fire triangle is a prerequisite. An operation is said to be unsafe if the magnitude of any component of the three is increased thereby increasing the risk of the other two components.  Reducing or totally eliminating any component of the fire triangle would reduce the risk associated with the other two components hence making the operation safer to carry out.
