One year postdoctoral position at Texas
A&M University in Qatar is effective immediately; the work will be in the
field of solid mechanics experimental investigation and modeling of Mg alloys.

This position
is not located in the United States. Must be willing to relocate to Doha, Qatar.

This position is funded by Research and Graduate Studies as part of the
Mechanical Engineering Program at Texas A&M University at Qatar.
The benefit package
includes a salary around 45000 USD for postdoc and 30000 USD for research
associate per year tax free, a full furnished house free of charge, a worldwide
health insurance, a car allowance and a travelling allowance.

Position requirements: PhD
or Master
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field,

or a Bachelor's degree in
Mechanical engineering, or closely related field and three years of experience in
education, scientific research, operational, managerial or experimental work.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, the ability to
multi-task and work cooperatively with others in a diverse population.
Experience in finite element
modeling, understanding of the theory of plasticity of alloys and code writing
under Fortran is highly desirable.
