TED University: Faculty Position in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Ankara-Turkey

The Department of Mechanical Engineering (http://www.tedu.edu.tr/en-US/Content/Default.aspx) invites applications for a tenure track/tenured faculty position to begin September 2014.

For tenure track positions, highly motivated and research driven candidates are sought. For tenured faculty positions, the candidate should have demonstrated excellence in original research.

Exceptional candidates in all areas of Mechanical Engineering will be given primary consideration, however, candidates in the following areas are especially encouraged to apply:

- Energy Systems Engineering: wind turbine operations, hydro-electric power systems, innovative fuel-cell technologies, alternative energy systems...

- Systems and Control Engineering: assembly lines, aircraft controllers, automobile braking systems, computer systems...

Faculty responsibilities will include teaching at the undergraduate level and conducting research. The candidate will also be expected to contribute to and manage (especially for tenured candidates) the department.

For tenure track candidates: applicants should hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field by the beginning of the appointment period.
