Position: Research Fellow/ Senior Research Fellow, National Heart Research Institute Singapore

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated new staff with interest in Cardiovascular Research and Medical Technology to join us. The position is based at the National Heart Research Institute Singapore, the research unit of the National Heart Centre Singapore (Outram Park).  The National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS) is the largest centre for treatment of cardiovascular diseases in Singapore with over 100,000 cardiovascular outpatient visits and over 3000 operations every year. 

The successful candidate will interact with clinicians/cardiologists, scientists, and engineers to drive specific research and development projects. Our research/development focus is primarily on the treatment of cardiovascular diseases using minimally invasive approaches. During the course of this work, he/she is expected to acquire extensive experience in clinical/cardiology terminology as well as in medical devices and Imaging.  

• Degrees (MSc or PhD) in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with Experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and/or Finite Element Analysis (FEA) are encouraged to apply
• Experience in scientific research/ medical engineering preferable 
• Experience, relevant interest in cardiology is desirable but not mandatory
• Able to work independently as well as in a team

Starting Date: August 2015

Duration: min. 6-12 months.
