New Frontiers in Pressure Vessels and Piping

The ASME 2016 PVP Conference promises to be the outstanding international technical forum for participants to further their knowledge-base by being exposed to diverse topics, and exchange opinions and ideas both from industry and academia in a variety of topics related to Pressure Vessel and Piping technologies for the Power and Process Industries.  PVP is looking forward to fruitful technical exchanges with participants from Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, the Americas, and the Oceania islands.

The ASME Pressure Vessels and Piping Division is the primary sponsor of the PVP-2016 Conference, with additional participation by the ASME Nondestructive Evaluation Engineering (NDEE) Division. More than 175 paper and panel sessions are planned, as well as workshops, tutorials, NDEE and Software Demonstration Forums, and the Rudy Scavuzzo Student Paper Competition & Symposium.

SCHEDULE:  Abstracts are due by November 09, 2015.  Authors will be notified of abstract acceptance by November 30, 2015.  Draft papers are due by February 8, 2016.  Paper peer review comments will be returned by March 7, 2016.  A Copyright Agreement Form for each paper and the final manuscripts in the standard ASME format for publication must be received by April 1, 2016.  All presented technical papers will be published as referenceable documents available post–conference via hardcopy or electronic media.

THIS CALL FOR PAPERS provides guidance for submitting abstracts for the High-Pressure Technology Program Track. At this time, Topic Organizers for the High Pressure Technology track are interested in inviting authors to consider presenting a paper at the 2016 PVP conference. There are seven topic areas scheduled for the High-Pressure Technology track of the conference. Four to five papers will be selected for each session within the topic area. 

The topic areas planned are:

  • Design, Analysis, and Life Prediction of High Pressure Vessels
  • Structures Under Highly Dynamic Loading Conditions
  • Design and Analysis of High-Pressure Equipment for Oil & Gas Exploration and Production
  • NDE and Fitness for Service for High Pressure Vessels
  • Material Advances and Fracture Toughness Testing for High Pressure Applications
  • Additive Manufacturing for High Pressure Equipment
  • Rudy Scavuzzo Student Paper Competition for both BS/MS & PhD Level Students

 ABSTRACT SUBMITTAL: Abstracts should be submitted through the website above, prior to the submittal deadline of November 09, 2015. We would be happy to answer any questions you might have regarding the conference or abstract submittal. Authors do not need to be ASME members to participate or attend the conference.
