PhD Studentship at University of Strathclyde, Glasgow,UK in the Area of Peridynamics

Applications are invited for a PhD studentship on PERIDYNAMIC MODELLING in the Department of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Marine Engineering at the University of Strathclyde under the supervision of Dr Julia Race and Dr Selda Oterkus.

 

Person Specification Applications are welcome from students with a good undergraduate (upper second class or higher) and/or Masters qualification (merit or distinction) in the area of mechanical, civil or structural engineering. Previous experience in Finite Element Analysis would be advantageous. If English is not your first language then you should have IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. Applicants must be available to commence academic studies in the UK by September/October 2016.

 

Funding Notes The scholarship covers UK/EU tuition fees and a stipend of £14,633 per year for 36 months. An overseas student (non-EU or UK) may be considered for a partial grant up to the fee level for a UK/EU student.
