Ph.D. and postdoc positions in mechanics, materials, and flexible electronics
Two Ph.D. positions and one postdoc position are available in Wang Research lab (https://www.wangresearchlab.com) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Missouri, Columbia.
Ph.D. positions
Research: Research topics include (1) Mechanics and materials for next-generation, high-performance batteries; (2) Design and fabrication of flexible electronics and architectures; and (3) Soft materials and systems. Our research is highly multidisciplinary and lies at the intersection of mechanics, materials, electronics and chemistry. Students who are interested in any of those related areas are welcome.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related area
- A M.S. degree with project experience and publications is preferred but not required
Starte date: Available immediately, open until filled.
If you are interested, please send a CV (including GPA, TOEFL or IETLS, and GRE) and transcripts to Dr. Xueju "Sophie" Wang at wangxueju@missouri.edu. GRE requirement can be waived for exceptional candidates.
Postdoc position
Research: The research project will be related to the design and fabrication of flexible electronics. Candidates with experiences in mechanics modeling, microfabrication, and flexible electronics are preferred.
Start date: Available immediately, open until filled.
If you are interested, please send a CV to Dr. Xueju "Sophie" Wang at wangxueju@missouri.edu.
