Minisymposium on
“Multiscale Simulations for Composite Materials and Mechanical Systems”(ID-110)
on the
8th World Congress on Computational Mechanics (WCCM8)
and the
5th European Congress on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences and Engineering (ECCOMAS 2008)
to be held at the Lido Island in Venice (Italy) on 30 June - 4 July 2008
Dear Colleagues,
The 8th World Congress on Computational Mechanics (WCCM8) and the 5th European Congress on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences and Engineering (ECCOMAS 2008) will be held in Venice, Italy, from 30 June – 4 July 2008.
We are very glad to invite you to submit two-page abstracts on relevant topics to the minisymposium on “Multiscale Simulations for Composite Materials and Mechanical Systems”.
http://www.iacm-eccomascongress2008.org/admin/files/fileabstract/a110.pdf
The online submission of abstracts is currently available.
In this symposium, the main objective is listed as follows:
1. Multiscale predictions for physical and mechanical parameters of composite materials, including the materials with periodic configurations and the materials with random distributions.
2. Multiscale simulations for fracture, localized softening and/or strengthen, micro-structural evolution of materials and mechanical systems.
3. Multiscale modeling, computational methods, and their software techniques in physical and mechanics simulations of materials and mechanical systems.
4. Applications to the design and forming/molding of materials, polymer, alloy, mechanical systems and so on.
Please visit the conference web page for further information at
