two open PostDoc positions at KTH, Stockholm

We are seeking two outstanding postdoctoral candidates to complement the expertise in computational mechanics at the Department of Engineering Mechanics at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stcokholm, Sweden.

PostDoc 1 will develop and validate computational models to predict fluid flow around and into hydrogels, and the subsequent solute diffusion inside hydrogels. The simulations should help to understand how concentration gradients inside hydrogel depend on hydrogel properties and external flow conditions. Simulation results will then be used by the clinical/medical arm of this project to optimize the vascularization conditions in the production of cerebral organoids.

PostDoc2 will be working on developing advanced methods for multifidelity simulations within the application area of vascular biomechanics. This includes the theoretical development, implementation into open-source codes, and coupling to existing vascular simulation methods. The goal is to combine experimental observations and high-fidelity simulations with low-fidelity (low-order) models to make accurate predictions for the biomechanical quantities of interest.
