Baoxing Xu will be the next Editor of iMechanica Journal Club

Baoxing Xu of the University of Virginia will be the next Editor of the iMechanica Journal Club. The Journal Club was initiated in January 2007, soon after the launch of iMechanica. It has quickly grown into a flagship feature of iMechanica, epitomizing the vibrant topics and dynamic researchers at the frontier of mechanics.

We are excited to have Baoxing to be the newest addition to a succession of excellent Editors. A receipient of the ONR-Young Investigator Award (2020) and ASME- Sia Nemat-Nasser Early Career Award (2020), Baoxing works on mechanics-driven extreme design and nanomanufacturing of functional materials, structures and devices for applications in wearable electronics and healthcare, and nanomechanics at extreme conditions. We look forward to his leadership, as well as another great year of iMechanica Journal Club.
