Call for papers: Journal of Intelligent Construction

A newly launched journal is calling for papers in the field of intelligent construction. The Editors-in-Chief are Prof. Peng Lin from Tsinghua University and Dr. Jinsheng Jia from China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research.

Journal of Intelligent Construction is an international peer-reviewed journal for publishing original research papers, case studies, reviews and comments regarding the use of novel technologies in all domains of civil engineering, e.g., hydraulic engineering, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation, construction management, etc. The journal focuses on the application of advanced theories, methodologies, and tools, such as machine learning, sensors, robotics, 5G, internet of things, artificial intelligence, building information modelling, computational methods etc., in all stages of the construction life cycle, which makes the process more intelligent and efficient. The journal also covers other essential areas of civil engineering, e.g., planning and design, operation and maintenance, disaster mitigation.

Selected areas and topics of interests include, but are not limited to:

• Application of smart sensors in construction process
• Robotics, surveying, logistics, automated inspection
• Intelligent control systems
• Intelligent equipment for risk management
