The selected applicant will collaborate with other group members of Multiscale Deformation Lab as well as with scientists from the Canadian Nuclear Laboratories.

Applicants will be assessed based on how they meet the following criteria:

  •         Prior publications in relevant research area, i.e, FE modeling and fracture mechanics.
  •        Excellent degree in the relevant discipline
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

The following qualities are desirable:

  •         Strong background in fracture mechanics, and modeling deformation mechanisms
  •         Strong background in crystal plasticity modeling.
  • Ability to program in Fortran, MATLAB, and Python.
