Research Scientist Positions Available (Jan. 25 2011)

A few vacant positions for Scientists and Senior Scientists are available at the Institute of High Performance Computing, A*Star, Singapore.

Responsibilities: Perform industry R&D projects, and work with industry partners to develop research programs.

Qualifications:  

Ph.D in Engineering Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, and Applied Physics.  

Post-doc experience and working experience in modeling and simulation related to mechanical engineering, mechanical properties of materials, particularly in the following areas:

1. Static, dynamic and thermal analysis of engineering materials and structures
2. Fracture and fatigue analysis of marine and offshore structures and aerospace materials
3. Vibro-acoustic analysis of engineering materials and systems.
4. Interfacial failure and non-destructive analysis in engineering composites
