Originally a student at the University of Technology in Eindhoven (The Netherlands, Europe). I'm studying mechanical engineering there and I have already finished my Bachelor degree there. Currently, the internship here at Harvard University is part of my Masters in Eindhoven. I'm joining the research group of Zhigang Suo at Pierce Hall for a period of four months. At the University of Technology in Eindhoven, prof. Marc Geers is my coach, head of the Computational and Experimental Mechanics Group. After this internship, I will head to Philips Research in Eindhoven and do my graduation project on the subject of Electronic Textiles.

Next to the technical field of expertise I'm very interested in, I also want to learn more in the field of business and management. Therefore I finished a Technical Management Certificate at the Business School at the University of Technology in Eindhoven. Moreover, I reorganised a Formula Student race team in the past year, next to my study. As the Team Manager, I enlarged the team to 60 students and I am proud to state the results we achieved. After this internship, I will start another certificate programme called Technology Entrepreneurship next to my graduation, also at the school of Business, University of Technology, Eindhoven.

These educational plans are followed by a probable PhD research and I hope to complete a Master of Business Administration programme at Harvard University afterwards.
