Post-Doctoral Position in Computational Modeling of Topological Insulators

I am looking to recruit a highly motivated and independent postdoctoral researcher to study, via the development of new topology optimization techniques, various scientific issues surrounding phononic topological insulators.  An example of recent related work from my group can be found here.  The position is available for a 20-month duration, with possible extension to 36 months depending on the availability of funding, with a proposed start date of June 1 or July 1, 2021.  

Preferred qualifications for the postdoc position include:

1. A strong background in computational solid mechanics, and in particular topology optimization techniques
2. Background in phononics, phononic crystals and wave propagation phenomena
