Load Steps

hi every one

i am modeling a reinforced concrete beam in ansys, but should i only applying the load or should i make a load steps?
and if i must make a load steps......how to do it?

please if any one can put a text file for commands used to model a reinforced concrete beam and make a load steps ......that would be great

Any one can help me ,using ANSYS how to apply reversal loading in the RC Beam Column Joint at the end of the Beam node..
