Two PhD positions in Aalto University

Ice Mechanics Group at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Aalto University is looking for two motivated doctoral students to work on numerical modeling and experiments on sea ice interacting with offshore wind farm. Novel numerical models for sea ice behavior and failure form a central part of the research by our group. Also we have a world unique experimental facility, Aalto Ice and Wave Tank.

Ultimate Linear Motion Mechanism For Clean Energy

I apply force using one slider to another slider. Best part is one slider move little bit and help second slider to slide 6 times length at 70 % force.

Energy Used to move first slider=force*distance

=100N*0.05m

=5Nm

Energy Get on Other Slider= Force*Distance

=Force applied by first slider*cos(45`)*distance

ICE's Engineering and Computational Mechanics general call for papers!

Dear Colleague,

Engineering and Computational Mechanics is currently looking for papers on the theme of Disaster and Hazard engineering for publication in 2014. Sub-topics include risk analysis and pre-emptive disasters.

Other themes EACM is interested in are: Fluid Structure interaction especially ringing phenomenon; Energy and renewable energy including offshore and waves; and review papers covering the themes in the call for papers.

If you are interested in submitting a paper, please see the call for papers via the link below:

Cam Follower Prototype- GIF File

Cam Follower Mechanism Prototype For Clean Energy Gif.

This is my cam follower prototype for clean energy cheaper than coal. Cam is used to open and close valve of internal combustion engine. I am going to show you another use. In my cam follower system,

1. Follower is off set.

2. Force is applied from follower to cam. Since the follower is off set this force help cam to rotate.

Renewable Power And Sunlight Energy - Thin-Film Solar Panel Products

As technology constantly advances there are many new green technologies released each day that can help us improve our energy efficiency. One such technology is the "Thin-Film Solar Panel." How are thin-film solar panels being utilized by consumers today? How do they compare against traditional photovoltaic (PV) panels?
