On behalf of the International Scientific Committee, I am pleased to inform you of the 3rd International Conference on IMPACT LOADING OF LIGHTWEIGHT STRUCTURES (ILLS 2011) taking place in  Valenciennes, France, June 28th-July 1st, 2011: http://ills2011.org

We would like to invite researchers and professionals working in the field of impact loading and crashworthiness, to present a conference paper. Please, if you are interested, we would appreciate if you can confirm your participation, and suggest you to send us an extended abstract (4 pages) you intend to submit describing the main features of the work.

Submissions are now closed for oral presentations to WOM 2011, however, contributions are invited for stand-alone posters. WOM 2011 is to take place in Philadelphia, USA - April 3-7 next year.  It will focus on both the fundamental and applied aspects of wear and friction of materials at the macro-, micro- and nano-scale. Special emphasis will be placed on wear issues in harsh environments, energy conversion, and debris particle generation and its impact on the environment.
