Together with Tevis Jacobs, Ju Li and Qian Yu, I'd like to invite you to submit an abstract to Symposium CM3: Mechanics and Tribology at the Nanoscale: In situ and In silico Investigations at the Spring MRS meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, from March 28-April 1, 2016.

Dear Colleague: You are cordially invited to participate in the Nanobrücken 2014 Nanomechanical Testing Workshop, which will take place March 26-28, 2014 at INM - Leibniz Institute for New Materials in Saarbrücken, Germany. This will be the 4th edition of the annual Nanobrücken workshop series. This year's Keynote Speaker will be Andrew Minor (University of California, Berkeley).

Funded through SNF SINERGIA Project ‘Understanding nanofriction and dissipation across phase transitions’, we open in SISSA a postdoctoral position (‘assegno di ricerca’) in the area centered around nanoscale tribology (friction, dissipation, adhesion, wear) involving modeling, theory, and molecular dynamics computer simulations of nanofrictional and nonlinear dissipation phenomena, especially in presence of continuous phase transitions.

We are currently soliciting abstracts for the 2012 ASME IMECE conference on November 9-15, 2012 in Houston, TX.  The symposium is entitled Tribology of Thin Films and Small-Scale Structures and is part of the Mechanics of Solids, Structures and Fluids Track.
