Position Summary:

The
Technical Services Engineer is responsible for providing world class
assistance to ANSYS customers in the usage of our products, as well as
for leveraging our knowledge and relationships to assist in growing our
software business in line with our corporate vision. This is a highly
diverse technical role that requires managing multiple projects and
initiatives at once while working both individually and as part of a
team.





Essential Job Functions:

- Customer Development:
Consistently improve our understanding of customer workflows and
technical needs through training, support and consulting; proactively
work to grow software
usage by demonstrating new solutions based on the ANSYS vision and
software

- Business Development/Marketing Assistance: Demonstrate the
value of the ANSYS vision and software to the marketplace through
collaborations on marketing campaigns and business initiatives in order
to grow new markets

- Sales Assistance: Demonstrate the value of the ANSYS vision and
software to sales prospects through collaboration with Sales in order to
grow sales volume in existing markets

- Product Development:
Collaborate with the product managers and developers to improve ANSYS
software products and the customers’ experience using these products

- Other duties as assigned





Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

- Graduate degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics or a related field

- Experience related to computational solid mechanics

Experience in the use of ANSYS Mechanical/MAPDL software or other
commercial FEA software for Structural Mechanics, or in-house Structural
Mechanics codes

- Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to implement numerical
models to obtain practical engineering solutions to difficult problems





Additional requirements:

- Desire to work in a customer facing technical role

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and to communicate effectively

- Experience with multidisciplinary simulation is a plus

- Experience working collaboratively with sales and marketing personnel is a plus

- Knowledge of other commercial CAE software packages is a plus

- Experience in the use of CAD packages (such as Pro/Engineer, Solidworks) is a plus

- Must display ability to work independently, as well as with others in a geographically diverse team environment

- Must have excellent verbal and written English skills

- Must have excellent presentation skills

- US Citizenship is a plus
