I am working with Abaqus and trying to model a problem using pore-pressure cohesive elements but I have a hard time on the converging side of it. I was looking at the articles and Abaqus Documentation and I found viscous regularization az a method to help. Actually I found the papers that firstly introduced this method but I cannot get it very well and I was looking forward to see if anyone can help.
My question beside the mechanism of this method is:
1- how small the viscosity should be to get more real and acceptable answer? I guess the answer of it is nothing and I have to try it untill I get convergence in my solutions and then I can say from that viscosity or bigger are good for my model.
2- How effective is this method with compare to other nonlinear stabilizer or nonlinear converging help tools.
