Analysis of SIF along crack front

 Iam analysing the SIF for mode I crack propagation in 3D model using ansys. I was able to get the kI for the crack tip for the first surface layer but was not able to analyse the variation in SIF along the crack front. Can anybody please help me with this.

I do not know how you calculated the K1. Theoretically speaking, you can get a LOCAL K1 at every point on the crack front, where you get the stress or displacement distributions. Of cause, the accuracy is always a problem.

I´d like to suggest you the VCE to calculate the J1, since you said that you are analysing the SIF for mode 1. Because the virtual displacement is clearly on the x-direction.

  Iam analysing SIF for mode II crack propagation. But the result that ansys is giving is KI and always getting KII = KIII = 0

For mode I i was able to get KI and specified the Local coordinate system every thing properly.But when I changed the boundary condition and loading condition which suits for modeII iam unable to get KII in ansys. Should I specify local coordinate system differently or no need of that. Please help me.
