Dear all,
My goal is the simulation of the fluid and gas flow in porus media. As the first step few CT scans using X-ray tomography where prepared. Next I have prepared the 3d geometry using ScanIP and ScanFE application. The purpose was to export direct geometry to COMSOL .mphbin format posted in node/2300 using the new feauture of Scan FE. Unfurtunatelly I have receved an error that the object imported has no geometry. I would like to point also thank I havestrictly followed instructions in the ScanFE dialog window and I have tried all possibilites of exporting.
The questions are:
1. Do I need to form different geometries: pore and sand resepctively ?
2. May I import Masks simulteneously? After export by the ScanFE does the information about masks extracted in ScanIP will be stored in COMSOL format ?
3. As far as I have understood, I do not have to remesh geometries while importing COMSOL format?
Coud somebody help me? I am rather beginner of the COMSOL enviroment. I don't want to use STL format due to fact of the rock pours nature which serves complicated geometry. Consequently their simplifying would be time consumming.
