Warnings in nanoindentation simulation

Submitted by weidongli on

Hi all,

I am using abaqus to model a nanoindentatin problem and always meet some
warnings. There are generally three types of warnings, as shown below.

Is there anyone who know how to resolve this kinds of problem. I have
been struggling to this problem for a couple of days.  So, you help will
be highly appreciated.

***WARNING: THE REFERENCE NODE 1 (ASSEMBLY) IS PART OF THE CONNECTIVITY OF

ELEMENT 3601 INSTANCE SUBSTRATE-1 AND PERHAPS OTHER ELEMENTS AS

WELL. REPOSITIONING THIS REFERENCE NODE MAY DISTORT THE ELEMENTS

ASSOCIATED WITH THIS NODE. THUS, THE REFERENCE NODE WILL NOT BE

             REPOSITIONED.

***WARNING: Rigid body reference nodes will not be repositioned if the

reference node is part of the connectivity of one or more

elements. Repositioning such nodes may distort the elements

associated with the node. Such reference nodes have been

             identified in node set WarnNodeRefNoReposDistortStep1Inc0.

***WARNING: THERE IS ZERO MOMENT EVERYWHERE IN THE MODEL BASED ON THE DEFAULT

CRITERION. PLEASE CHECK THE VALUE OF THE AVERAGE MOMENT DURING THE

CURRENT ITERATION TO VERIFY THAT THE MOMENT IS SMALL ENOUGH TO BE

TREATED AS ZERO. IF NOT, PLEASE USE THE SOLUTION CONTROLS TO RESET

             THE CRITERION FOR ZERO MOMENT.

Thanks !
