does anybody know how to use the material model no:185 in ls dyna for modelling cohesive zone elements for analyzing the crack propagation in a ct specimen made of steel?
if you want to model a crack progatation of steel with cohesive element , you have to predict several directions along witch the crack might propagate before you do the calculation. Then you could add cohesive element on the crack paths , after running the simulation you ll know which path 'wins the chance to propagate '
