Join us for this interactive web workshop where we will demonstrate the ease of obtaining high fidelity models from 3D image data using Simpleware. We will walk you through the workflow of how to build models from 3D data for a variety of applications.
18th U.S. National Congress for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics – Jointly Organized with the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics
Thursday, June 7: A Career Development Workshop for Ph.D. Students and Postdocs, 4:30 – 6:00 pm.
Dear colleagues,
There is one postdoc opening in my research group. The research topic is on computational hydro-mechanics of porous media across temporal scales.
Candidates must have established records on constitutive modeling and publication record. Programming experience is required. Experience in contact mechanics, level set and/or meshless method is a plus but not required.
The starting date is flexible. More information can be found at
Postdoc Position Available in the Franck Lab
Effective Sept 1, I am looking to fill 1-2 postdoc position in the general area of 3D cell mechanics.
Candidates should have a strong background in solid mechanics, preferably experimental, with an interest in learning innovative techniques in experimental mechanics including digital volume correlation, 3D Traction Force Microscopy, 3D confocal, multiphoton and Super resolution imaging.
Dear Colleagues, The MMM conference is the world leading forum dedicated to the dissemination of the latest development in the field of multiscale materials modeling. Both people working on multi-scale modeling and simulation and experimental verification are welcome to take part in the meeting, to share your new progress and meet old friends. The abstract submission deadline is March 31, 2018, only a few days left.
The 7th edition of the International Conference on Fatigue of Composites is going to be held in Vicenza (Italy) from 4th to 6th of July 2018. The conference is organized by the Department of Management and Engineering at the University of Padova, under the patronage of the European Society for Composite Materials, the Committee on Composite Materials of the Japan Society of Material Science, the Italian Association for Stress Analysis and the Italian Group of Fracture.
The Institute of High Performance Computing, member of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) in Singapore, is seeking taletend researchers to fill a position of Scientist.
The job scope is numerical modeling of microstructure formation during rapid solidification of metals. The numerical method of choice is the phase field method.
