Scientist position (phase field) at the A*STAR Institute of High Performance Computing in Singapore

The Institute of High Performance Computing, member of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) in Singapore, is seeking taletend researchers to fill a position of Scientist.

The job scope is numerical modeling of microstructure formation during rapid solidification of metals. The numerical method of choice is the phase field method.

Please refer to the following requirements:

• PhD in Materials Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines
• deep knowledge of the phase field method
• deep knowledge of solidification and microstructure formation in metals
• excellent programming skills (C++ language)
• good publication track record
• good interpersonal skills and natural teamwork

Domain knowledge of the additive manufacturing process is appreaciable but not mandatory. Deep knowledge in the phase field method and in solidification is significantly more relevant.
