Hi all,
I am modelling a cylindrical concrete beam with woven roving glass fabric and I need help on how to model the same.
I have done the analysis of the plain model and validation was also successful, but in case of wrapped member model the results are not acceptable. The maximum strength of the wrapped member is coming out to be similar to the plain analytical model.
I have created two cylindrical sections, one of concrete and the other of the fabric and I have defined a Tie Contact between them.
Is there any other way I can go to model this.
I have spend last two months on this and any help regarding this would be really appreciated.

i've read your post, it
i've read your post, it seems the glass fabric and concrete interface are seperately modeled, then assign a tie contact between them, it is not appropriate for the contact definition
Which contact definition should be appropriate ?
Hi jdbear,
Thanks for replying,
I have already tried with TIE CONTACT and I am not getting the results. The strength of the wrapped specimen seems to be lying near the plain specimen.
In what else way can I approach this problem ?
