I am doing a analysis in abaqus where i have to consider the effect of the moldflow analysis in terms of residual stresses. I have noticed in the abaqus moldflow interface the mesh should be consistent between the abaqus and moldflow.In moldflow will be using the 3 noded tria elements and my requirements for the structural analysis mostly with 4 noded quad with minimum no of tria. So i would like to know the output format of the moldflow weather it is carrying the nodal information so we can use different mesh but keep same nodal coordinates between the abaqus and the moldflow.
Do we have any otherway to simulate the effect of the residual stresses in the FW like taking the temperature part and do the thermal to get the residual effect and do strucural analysis later. Both will give the same results.
