I have written a user material behavior using VUMAT for hyperelastic materials.
I am validating VUMAT on a flat square plate.
1. The plate is subjected to uniaxial loading.
2. It has 4 structured quad elements.
3. One side of the plate is fixed and the opposite side is subjected to shell edge load.
4. The element is of type S4R.
I can simulate this loading and have no problem in running VUMAT and the simulation completes successfully. The only problem that I have is that the stress wave does not propagate correctly. I mean only the two elements which are on the edge load are elongated. The stress in the other two elements (which are attached to the fixed boundary) are zero and no deformation is seen.
Does anyone know what might be the cause of this problem?
