Can I ask a very
simple question? I am a newbee and sorry if it seems a bit too naive.

In abaqus, what is
the difference of Transient modal dynamic analysis and Mode-based steady-state
dynamic analysis?

I understand both
involves eigen extraction in the previous step. Howver,

Can I
ask a very simple question? I am a newbee and sorry if it seems a bit too
naive.

In
abaqus, what is the difference of
Transient
modal dynamic analysis
and
Mode-based steady-state dynamic analysis?

I
understand both involves eigen extraction in the previous step. However, I am
confused what’s the difference in terms of output?

Also,
for transient analysis, is the load required to be given as a time dependent
function? In Modal steady state analysis, the manual says that the load is
given with the frequency. Then how about the amplitude? Is the amplitude given
against time?

Many
thaks
