What Steps to be used to analyse a Monopile foundation(offshore)

Hi Everyone,

                Please help me to do the analysis steps used for a Monopile foundation( offshore). There are two parts in this model one is soil of half-cylinder having diameter 90m and depth 45m, anotrher is monopile of diameter 7.5m, thickness 9cm. Monopile is inserted in soil upto 30m and 6m length of monopile is above the soil. Whole foundation is under sea. There are two loads to be applied in this model, one is vertical load of 10Mn and another is horizontal load due to wave 8Mn at the monopile. At first, for the generation of initial stress state the whole model area is discritized using soil elements only. Subsequently, the monopile is generated by replacing the soil elements located at the pile position by steel elements and activating the contact condition between pile and soil. Then the vertical load is applied and finally the horizontal load is applied and increased step by step. Please help me what steps to be used here.

 Dear Singh,

I read your post,but i didn't understand that have you modeled it or not?

If you have not modeled yet,you shoud know this points that you should model pile with wire element,and never extrude soil solid part.because it makes difficulties in meshing parts.

you model is not complicated,I have good experiences in it.and We can help you if you have any question.

 Many Thanks to you  Sir for understanding my problem. Actually i modeleed the soil as 3-D deformed solid and extruded pile part from it, then i have assigned pile as Steel element and for soil i used Mohr-Coulomb constitutive model. I meshed the soil and pile part.  Am i going in correct way or not? Please guide me since i am new user of Abaqus. Also please tell me how to apply Geostatic step so that the displacement caused by self-weight will be zero And how to apply load in increment to make use of Amplitude given in model tree because in load step i have to apply vertical as well as horizontal load on Monopile. soil body(Half-cylindrical) has dimension- dia. 90m and depth 45m and Monopile dia. 7.5m, thickness 9cm and 30m length. Thanx in advance for any suggestions.
