R&D Engineer: Design optimization of piezo-composite transducers using Level Set Method

Mission :
Within our on-going research programmes:
• You collaborate in the framework of a global research project based on the design optimization of piezo-composite transducers using eXtended Finite Element Method and Level Set method;
• You define a numerical schema for modelling of distributed transducers using eXtended Finite Element and Level Set Methods;
• You research the topology optimization of distributed piezoelectric transducers attached to a thin plate structure;
• You create, implement and evaluate the optimal design of piezo-electric transducers for Structural Health Monitoring applications.
Profile :
• You hold a PhD Degree in mechanical engineering, or in any relevant discipline pertaining to the project;
• You have good programming and analytical skills with an interest in and knowledge of numerical analysis, design optimization and/or smart materials;
• You have a proven experience in computational mechanics;
• You have excellent oral and written communication skills;
• You work autonomously as well as within a team;
• You speak and write excellent English. The knowledge of other languages will be considered an asset.
