Hi All,
I am trying to model a 2D system where a viscoelastic layer is peeled from a rigid substrate. I am currently using cohesive surface interaction for the model and defining maximum displacement and fracture energy for damage initialization and evolution. A uniform pressure is applied on the top of the stamp and both stamp and substrate are encastered at one end. The problem is that the stamp never gets peeled off irrespective of the magnitude of the pressure. Instead of getting peeled, the stamp deforms a bit from the free end and everywhere else there is no stress distribution. Since it is a speed/time dependent peel, I have tried both standard and explicit modes but the problem persists. Any suggestions on how I can get a crack propagation at the interface of the stamp and substrate?
