UIUC-NUS joint Postdocs on Computational modeling of additive manufacturing

Two postdoc positions in computational modeling of metallic additive manufacturing are available immediately in the research groups of Prof. Jinhui Yan at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and Prof. Wentao Yan at National University of Singapore (NUS). Successful candidates need to be self-motivated and have a solid background in mathematics, mechanics, numerical analysis, and programming (Fortran, C/C++, and Python). Research experience in computational fluid dynamics, finite elements, isogeometric analysis, multi-phase flows, and metallic additive manufacturing processes is a plus but not required.

Applicants should send their CV to both yjh@illinois.edu and mpeyanw@nus.edu.sg. Applications will be reviewed immediately. Competitive packages will be provided for exceptional candidates. Successful candidates will work at UIUC and NUS depending on the research needs, with the opportunity to utilize the state-of-the-art computational and experimental facilities in Bluewater supercomputer and NUS additive manufacturing center to advance the development of metallic additive manufacturing technology.
