Three dimensional unit cell study of a porous bulk metallic glass under various stress states
Porous Bulk Metallic Glasses have been found to be mechanically superior under compressive stress states.
In our following paper published in Journal of Applied Mechanics, we investigated the response of a typical porous Bulk Metallic Glass subjected to various stress states through three dimensional elasto-plastic finite element simulations. This has implications for design of structures made of porous BMGs.
