I am looking for several year postdoctoral fellows to join my research group on variational phase-field models of fracture at McMaster University.
- One position deals with the coupling of diffusion equations and phase-field fracture, with the target application being corrosion stress cracks. This position is to be filled not later than the end of 2022.
- Another position deals with advanced numerical schemes for phase-field fracture.
Candidates must have a good understanding of the fundamental of solid mechanics, fundamental applied mathematics tools, and knowledge of the theory and implementation of finite element methods. Knowledge of phase-field fracture is be an asset but is not a required.
Candidates should send a resume, list of publication, and a list of references to bourdin [at] mcmaster.ca (bourdin[at]mcmaster[dot]ca).
