Conversion of Axisymetric Forces to 3D

Hi,

If I perform an axisymmetric cylinder compression by compressing the cylinder with specified displacement (it's a contact analysis, a top rigid edge is being pressed against the cylinder to compress it). The result is the stress in the cylinder and the nodal reaction/contact forces.

Now I want to estimate the force experienced on the top rigid edge by the reaction of the cylinder in actuality or 3D. I have the nodal contact forces of the cylinder nodes which were compressed by the top edge. How do I convert those forces to the actual force experienced by the 3D cylinder?

Thanks,

Shriram
