Description: Outstanding applications are invited to join the Department of Mechanical Engineering at UCL as part of an EPSRC industrial CASE (iCASE) PhD studentship. The PhD project is being jointly supervised by Professor Ian Eames and Dr Emad Moeendarbary from the Department of Mechanical Engineering (University College London, UCL) and Dr Alireza Azarbadegan from BP plc (British multinational oil and gas company).

The 6th edition of the intensive course on Digital Image Correlation (DIC) will take place on 11-15 Jne 2018 à Drexel University in Philadelphia, USA. PhD position in computational solid mechanics

A PhD position is available in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The research project is in the multiscale modeling of damage and fracture. Candidates should have a strong background and interests in continuum mechanics and finite elements modeling. Programming experience in Fortran or C++ is a big plus. The starting date for this position is August 2018.

Postdoc Position on computational poromechanics

There is one postdoc opening in my research group. The research topic is on computational hydro-mechanics of porous media across temporal scales. 

Candidates must have established records on constitutive modeling and publication record. Programming experience is required. Experience in contact mechanics, level set and/or meshless method is a plus but not required.
