An industrial project, funded by Transvalor for a duration of three years, will commence in early October 2026 (Phd_2026_MORCAST_En.pdf). The project, entitled Model Order Reduction for Real-Time Digital Twins of Continuous Casting (MORCAST), will be supervised by Dr. Yancheng Zhang and Prof. David Ryckelynck at CEMEF, MINES Paris - PSL, France. The MORCAST PhD project aims to develop and validate projection-based reduced-order models for continuous casting, enabling near real-time process prediction, control, and optimization.
