A Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available immediately in the aerospace department at the Khalifa University of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirates. The research project focuses on Composite materials and manufacturing, Autoclave/out of autoclave techniques, LCM, constitutive and multi-scale computational modeling of the viscoelastic and other inelastic behavior of composites.
One or two fully funded PhD positisons (tuition plus reasearch or teaching assistantships) are immediately available in the Computational Dynamics and Materials Laboratory at North Dakota State University (NDSU) during the academic year 2018~2019. Our research aims to advance the design and development of high-performance multifunctional engineering materials (including polymers, composites, granular/soft matter and biomaterials) through computation, multiscale modeling and machine learning.
Applications are invited for a Ph.D. position in modeling and characterization of polymer thin films at University of Central Florida (UCF). The project is focused on viscoelasticity, yielding, and viscoplasticity of polymer films for superpressure balloon and solar sail applications. A combination of computational, experimental, and analytical methods will be utilized in this research.
The Laboratory of Materials Science at Tampere University of Technology, Finland is looking for a PhD student in the field of micromechanics of materials studied in-situ in SEM under extreme deformation conditions - high temperatures and high strain rates. The position will be filled now for a fixed period of four (4) years.
We are looking for a postdoctoral research fellow who has experience and interest in developing and implementing computational methods and algorithms for simulation and optimization in structural and continuum mechanics.
