blast wave and ansys

Submitted by Peter Rozsar on

Hello,

I deal with nonlinear behaviour of reinforced concrete structures and masonry structures in my PhD work. I use army manual for defining of pressures of blast load. Now, I want to try model blast load as moving part of air. My problem is, that our university has licence only for ansys, not for ls dyna or autodyn. Do you think, it is possible to model blast wave in ansys flotran? If there is somebody with experience of blast load modeling in ansys flotran, please, I'll be glad for any idea.

Linear elastic fracture mechanics

Submitted by Zhigang Suo on

These notes were initially written when I taught fracture mechanics in spring 2010.  The title of the notes was then "toughness".  In revising the notes for the class in 2014, I have changed the title of the notes to "Linear elastic fracture mechanics".

You can access all notes for the course on fracture mechanics
