Basic Concepts of Numerical Methods
I am looking for basic concepts of numerical methods. I have also an important question: Why numerical methods?
I would be grateful if you could give me a good answer.

I am trying to figure out how to place rebars in ABAQUS CAE, basically how can I place rebars in a solid part and also is there a way I can visualize how these layers are placed in my part. Thanks.

STRESS DISTRIBUTION IN NANOTUBES
Prior Courses in Solid Mechanics:
Elasticity, Strength of Material, Plasticity, Theoretical Mechanics, Advanced Solid Mechanics, Computational Mechanics
Undergraduate Major:
Theoretical and Applied Mechanics
Strength Related to This Course:
I have already known some basic theories in elasticity and plasticity, so I guess it might be a little easier for me to understand the theoretical part taught in this course.
Weakness Related to This Course:
Hi,
I am doing a laminate composite in ABAQUS. Is there any titurial I can learn from?
Thanks
For several common electroplated materials: Ni, Cu, Au and Al, which one has strongest fatigue strength? We know the mechanical properties of thin films are different with their bulk counterparts due to the so called "size effect", and material properties depends largely on the microstructure and processing technique. But is there some mateiral laws or guidelines for designers to choose the "best material" as for fatigue resistant? Yield limit? ultimate tensile strength? or elongation? How could one compare material candidates without doing time-consuming test?
My previous exposure to solid mechanics is tangential beyond a first semester course in beam bending, beam stretching, and beam torsion. I am a master of Mohr's circle, and am looking to extend my practice in solid mechanics to include interesting problems and applications of the theory of solids.
I studied Engineering Mechanics as an undergraduate, and received a second degree in Mathematics, with a concentration in Applied Math.
hi
is there any algorithm other than incremental equations to get the elasto-plastic constitutive relation
if it is there please suggest me so that i can go on step forward in my project
I am modeling weld induced residual stresses in circumferentially welded thin-walled cylinders. Any one guide me how to conduct buckling analysis due to weld induced residual stresses in ANSYS.
