how to mesh AC3D4 acoustic tetrahedral

im working on an abaqus model which should be meshed by AC3D4 acoustic tetrahedral elements.

i attached the picture of main meshed model and my model .

but there is a difference between them. ( i pointed them by white areas)

how can i mesh o control mesh to create that kind of meshing

top model is mine and bottom is original model.

tnx

Could you explain what exactly you want to achieve. I am not able to get it from the figures. Both models look different (dimension wise also, or it cud be just image stretching)...

The world started with 0, is progressing with 0, but doesn't want 0.

NO, Dimension is not important.

both of these models meshed by AC3D4 tetrahedral elements. but their meshing pattern is different

my model is top and i wanna mesh it like botton model ( like it's meshing pattern)

From the figure, it appears that the bottom mesh had (1) Structured meshing control, and (2) smaller mesh size. I don't know whether you've tried it or not. Also, you might need to partition the geometry (deviding into regions). Can you upload (1) CAE file for the upper model, and (2) input file for the lower model?

The world started with 0, is progressing with 0, but doesn't want 0.

thanks for your response Akumar !

yes i also think , partitioning is the reason of difference.

i uploaded the CAE and JNL files in zip format.

model should be meshed by AC3D4, tetrahedral elements. mesh controling is not important, just the patternt is important.

it will be pleasant if you partition it !

thank you very much

  1. You said you're trying to mesh with AC3D4 elements (3D Continuum Accoustic Elements). However, I see shell being used to model the tube region (where you wanted to mesh identical to original model).
  2. If shell is the feature there (tube), then try free meshing without any partitioning. It will give the mesh that will look similar to what you have in original model (with partition, I am not sure).

I do have 6-11 on my machine, so I workd with the journal file and created model (only upto 8 iterations). I will try again with by running complete journal file, and will let you know if I find anything. Smile
