DMIG (superelement)

Submitted by urkabil on

i would like to condense the model (superelement) using Nastran (PARAM, EXTOUT, DMIGPCH).

but, i'm having few CONM2/CELAS1/CBEAM elements at condensation locations. i would like to know these (CONM2/CELAS1/CBEAM) elements will create any issue while condensation

Hi,
I run a condensation of a model in Nastran. i'm having few CONM2/CELAS1/CBEAM elements at condensation locations. I run a normal modes analysis (SOL103-upto 1600Hz), to condensethe model. I got *.pch in the end.

Using the matrix in the pch file, I re-run a normal modes analysis (SOL103-upto 1600Hz), to compare the results between Detail model & DMIG (superelement) model. I am getting 15 new in-between modes.

I would like to know, why 15 new modes are coming in DMIG (superelement) model. Also I would like to know, Shall I use the DMIG (superelement) model for my further study

Thanks & Regards,
Urkabil.
