Constant cavity volume

Submitted by CrazyMesh on

You can use fluid filled cavity constraints. You have to define a closed surface and within the enclosed volume define a reference point. When applying the fluid filled cavity constraint, the reference node will have pressure and volume as degree of freedom. You can create almost incompressible properties for the fluid filled cavity to ensure constant volume.

Thank you very much,

I have already started to do so, but my surface is not closed and I have a complicated mesh(hexahedron). For now, I am trying to figure how I can close my surface directly in abaqus.

Thanks for your kind answer,

Regards,
